Goals

Building trust

I believe in building trust with the key stakeholders such as the parents and children. This is one of the important goals I wish to work on as I become an Early Educator.

Helping Hand Badge

Inculcating values & skills

Learning does not stop at the 6 learning areas. I believe that it need to extend into developing valuable values and skills such as social skills and kindness. This are lifelong skills and values children need to not only succeed but be a better person. Hence, I believe that as an educator, I have to show and inculcate these in children.

Grateful

Building self-confidence & independence

As we know, children are inquisitive and need exploration to learn. As an early educator, I hope to provide an environment for them to safely explore and discover themselves. This in turn helps in building a sense of confidence and independence in themselves. This are important qualities for them to positively grow.

Setting up for children's future successes

This is my long-term goal for every child that I would be nurturing. At the end of the day, I would like these children to develop and be equip with the necessary skills in the 6 learning domains. This is critical for a child's future success. As they embark into primary school education, skills learnt in the preschool level would be essential.

Patience

Nurturing little minds can be tough at times. As an early educator, patience has to be one of the most important values I impart in myself.

Passion Led Us Here

Passion

Someone once said, "It takes a big heart to shape little minds". I truly believe in this quote as passion is one of the drives to nurture children and be in this colourful industry.

Adaptable

The environment in the classroom is not the same daily. Hence, being adaptable is important to me. I know that I have to always be ready and proactive to any changes be it with any notice or it is sudden. This is to ensure too that the environment I have created for young children is safe and predictable.

Teamwork

Teamwork

Working in this line is not a one-man show. I would need to possess the communication skills to work with a team of staff and teachers. Any decision made by myself would not affect the child but also the people I am working with, as well as the parents of the child. Hence, being a good team player is important for me too.
